Foam tips for Klipsch earbuds
Posted by Jeff Topping on 9th Apr 2016
Your foam tips improve the sound quality greatly over the Klipsch tips, which are horrible. A couple of things about your tips that for my ears could lead to improvement. I bought the set with the large tips and for my ears the tip size of the largest tip could be larger. They don't stay firmly in my ear canal. The second is that one must be careful as to how the foam is molded before going into the ears. I experimented with the smallest first and found that they could easily be molded to a size smaller thus falling out of the ears.
Excellent fit and superb sound

With these my Klipsch S4 tips sound rock solid, great bass, and they fit perfectly, so the sound is always perfect. And when in, you do not feel them at all, you can keep on going for hours and hours, thanks!

I own six different high end in-ear headphones. I have been using the Comply Foam tips since 2011 on all of them for the following reason. They provide excellent noise isolation, they provide a comfortable fit and they improve the overall sound. I have read internet reviews where they claim the tips have ripped and worn out with use. Comply is not going to like what I am going to say next but in the last four years I have never had one rip and I am not sure I have had one wear out. I do change them about once a year because they are a little firmer when new. You have to make sure that you buy the right size for the nozzle of your headphone, you have to make certain that you insert them correctly and you have to purchase the correct size to accommodate the size of your ear canal. If you are going to spend $500.00 for a decent pair of in-ear headphones then spend a few more dollars to get the best tips available.
Unflexible and uncomfortable.

I tried a larger pair out, and they were unflexible and uncomfortable. Company let me return them, and they recommended a different pair. Second pair didn't work any better for me.
Great when new.

I use these exclusively with my etymotics. Great isolation and comfort, but the shiny surface of the earpiece wears off quickly. That surface makes the earpiece slightly sticky, which helps them stay put. As it wears off, which happens over just 5-10 uses, the seal and therefore the isolation and bass response suffer. I'm more frequently repositioning to reseal.

Fantastic product! I can hear my band again! I use these every weekend and love the sound isolation that these provide. I received my new tips in 2 days and was given a lot of help from the great staff! I highly recommend Comply foam tips!
Comfortable and Isolates Well

The T-100 tips fit well on my Etymotic ER-6i and remained comfortable throughout a fourteen hour flight. Compared to the stock triple-flange silicone eartips, comfort is drastically improved and isolation is about the same. The Comply tips seem to emphasize the bass response, which is appreciated on these notoriously bass-shy IEMs.
Great comfortable tips

Ever since discovering Comply tips, the first thing I do when getting new in-ears is get a matching set of Comply's.
I'm using these in combination with a pair of Shure SE315's, and they perform just as I've come to expect from them. They do a reasonably good job of keeping external noise out, which allows you to isolate yourself from your environment at lower listening volumes. They're not magic; a noisy room full of chatting colleagues will still penetrate your private void. But under normal circumstances they strike a pretty good balance between isolation and letting enough sound through so you're aware of what's going on around you. Combined with the softness and comfort foamies provide, these have become my favourite tips.
The memory foam is smooth and soft. It takes a couple of seconds to expand to fill your ear canal, but once the foam is set, you hardly notice they're there. Depending on the design of your in-ears, you may need to get Tx-100's instead of T-100's, as the Tx series comes with wax guards (keeps your earwax out of your IEM's stems). Check your tips to see whether they already include a wax guard (mesh), or if you need the extra protection of the Tx series.
First time buyers: get a 3-pack S/M/L and see which ones work best for you. The ideal size is the one that expands to fill your ear canal entirely, giving a good seal, but not so large they exert too much pressure on your ear canal and become uncomfortable to wear after a while.

I purchased 2x5-pair packs of large T-100 for Etymotic ER-4s because their stock foam tips performed pretty well, so I picked the same external diameter by Comply, because I assumed they should at least be as good. I really did enjoy the sound quality with these tips for a couple of hours, but then the tips just stopped providing the isolation. As a result, the presentation of the lower register dropped way below average. I had to switch back to double-flange silicone tips to regain the full frequency range. At the end of the day, I received zero value for my money.
Best earbud tips. Period.

I couldn't be happier with these. I bought them for my Etymotic Hf3's because none of the stock tips wer the right size for my ears. They are incredibly comfortable and durable. The sound quality is superb, with accurate bass response and no loss on the high end. I found some of the stiffer buds to limit bass to a noticeable degree. These are made with a material that softens at body temperature, allowing for comfort and performance. The best thing is, I've been using these for a couple months and haven't even burned through one of the 3 pairs yet!
