S-400 Compatibility

Tried using S-400's with my Denon AH-C360. Poor match! They sound thinner on the bottom, with more midrange glare. Sound like the Denon's with their stock tips when they're just about to fall out of your ear.
I think the distance from the stator to your ear is critical on these phones.
Now I need to find where to get replacement stock Denon plastic tips.

was expecting great results from all the reviews, bought these s-400 to give comply tips a try. After trying them on my skullcandy smokin' buds and listening to some music it sounded muddy, lost higher notes and just bad in general. I should have tried the t-400's instead

They are 10 times better than the tips that came with my ear buds, but I have to say the t-400 are way better. They can stay in your ear and are very fashionable, but it takes a while to take the shape of Ur ear

If it wasn't for the color options these would get a 1 star. I purchased a set of S series tips for my B&W C5s and a set of T series tips for my set of Shures. I decided to get the S's for the B&Ws since they came in a variety of colors and the other reviews said that they were just as good as the T series... so I thought, why not? Save some $ while I'm at it. WORST decision ever!
First, the foam used is not as dense as the T series and is more porous. This means the sound isolation and fit to your ear canal suck! Second, it also takes FOREVER for the foam to return to its original shape. Once you pinch the foam to insert into your ear it literally takes more than 30 seconds for it to form and fit your ear canal.
So what did I do? Decided to put a set of T series tips on instead... NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE! Since the T Series uses better foam, the quality of sound including the fit is far superior than the S series.
Long story short. Spend the extra $5 and buy the T Series tips. Learn from my mistake for buying these just for the color and cheap price. They are now sitting at the bottom of my trash can since I can't return these because the package has been opened.

My first pair of Comply tips came with my Skullcandys, the T-400s.
I`ve just received a set of these S-400 today and am literally blown away.
This new foam they're made of is more noise isolating, comfy-er and seems to accentuate and give spacing to the bass, not to mention they`re a lot cheaper and come in colors.
If you guys integrate a wax guard into these, I would buy a life-time`s supply on the spot!
In case you still have some doubts, get these!

these are just as good as the t series, except cheaper, and more colours, a big win!

*OK, I should say, I can't really tell which set of tips I have, I must have unboxed them a couple of years ago, and so I don't know, but they look like S-Series, so here goes the review.*
These things are amazing. They completely changed my Sennheiser CX400 - when I bought them, the seal was rubbish, the tips were painful, and the sound was poor at best. Put a pair of these on... OMG! It was so different! I felt like I was locked in my own world with these - the sound was completely changed, and the comfort was mind-blowing. Made my cheapy little earphones seem like £70+ headphones! Note, though, they can almost have too good a seal! I could barely hear cars going past while jogging! Well, it's not that bad, but something to think about. Still, a great investment, bargain for the price, fully recommended.
