Comply NR-10 Earphones Receive Superior Noise Reduction Rating

Created by: Jeff Koontz on May 09 2008
OAKDALE, Minn. (April 11, 2008) – Hearing Components today announced its Comply™ NR-10 High Tech Noise Reducing Earphones have received an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 29 dB.

Achieving one of the highest ratings recorded for an earphone or standard noise reduction device, the Comply™ NR-10 earphones are engineered to maximize bass response and deliver superior sound quality by preventing outside noise from interfering with the audio experience.

“With a noise reduction rating nearly as high as the average industrial foam earplug at 32 dB, the Comply™ NR-10 earphones provide users with an audio experience that far exceeds that of average earphones, which are rated at around 23 dB,” said Dr. Robert Oliveira, President and CEO, Hearing Components. “Unlike active ‘noise canceling’ headphones, the Comply™ NR-10 incorporates passive noise reduction technology that does not require separate batteries.”

Conducted in accordance with the ANSI S3.19-1974 standard by Michael & Associates, a National Institute of Standards and Technology and National Laboratory Accreditation Program accredited firm, the results confirm the Comply™ NR-10 earphones ability to provide superior noise reduction.

Recently introduced to the consumer market, the Comply™ earphones incorporate the same patented technology used by U.S. Army helicopter crews and Special Forces to reduce ambient noise. Similar to that of an earplug, the patented Comply™ Foam Tips conform to the user’s ear canal, providing amazing comfort and a secure in-ear fit.

The Comply NR-10 earphones are available for purchase on Hearing Component’s Web site (www.complyfoam.com) for $79.95, plus shipping and handling.
