“Tx-100s with Shure SE530s”

Background. I have VERY sensitive hearing, and I do a decent amount of recording, mixing, and mastering. I wanted these tips for my casual listening setup--Shure SE530s run through a Grace m902 amp.
I was using the Shure "olive" foam tips. They were fine, but I had to fiddle with insertion quite a bit to get the right seal. I also found them a bit uncomfortable and "stuffy" with extended listening.
I heard about Comply products through a blog post, so I thought I'd try them.
My experience has been nothing but amazing. These tips are FAR superior to the Shure olives in almost every way! They go on and off the stems much easier, yet stay in place just fine. They're much softer, easier to insert, and it's easier to get a good seal. The softness makes for very comfortable extended wearing--in fact they feel like they just disappear after about 10 minutes.
With the better seal, I'm noticing improved isolation. It's nice to block out the outside world a little better.
But the biggest deal is that my 530s sound 10% better!! I worked a lot with all the different Shure olive sizes to get the best seal possible. They obviously don't do the job. These tips reveal more depth, a wider soundstage, and beautiful presence. I was blown away.
I was considering custom molds, but these tips have eliminated that need and saved me a lot of money.
I had purchased the Tx-100s with the wax guard. I wanted to test if the foam barrier had any effect, so I poked it out and tested. I found the foam causes a slight attenuation in the highs, but it was VERY slight and VERY high (probably above 15k). I think the protection of the wax guard is well worth the ridiculously small sacrifice in highs, so I'll stick with the Tx's.

“Fantastic after-market replacement tips!”

I bought these recently for my high end Philips head buds, after the foam tips that came with them wore out (and rather quickly, I might add). The Comply tips were of MUCH better quality; much more durable, and sturdy. I'm very pleased with how well they stay in, and block out outside noises. I also found the customer service to be excellent...kudos to Joseph for helping me out when I ordered the wrong model!
I will definitely be making all my headphone related purchases with this company in the future, and would recommend them to anyone.
